Mother and Three Children Thrown Out at 2AM by Husband, Left Stranded in the Cold

A family in Bonaberi, Douala, has been left in distress after a woman and her three children were reportedly thrown out of their home in the early hours of the morning by her husband. According to reports, the incident occurred around 2 a.m., leaving the family stranded in the cold while the rest of the neighborhood slept.

The woman, who has chosen to remain anonymous, has been quietly enduring hardships for years. She claims her husband abandoned his responsibilities, neglecting the welfare of his family while spending recklessly elsewhere. Despite these challenges, she continued working tirelessly—selling bread under harsh conditions—to provide for her children and ensure they had basic necessities.

Neighbors described the act as “cruel and unnecessary,” pointing out that the children were innocent victims in a conflict that should never have involved them. “It is shocking that anyone would punish children for the choices of an adult,” said one local resident.

The woman’s only “offense,” according to sources, was refusing to maintain a marital relationship with a husband who showed no respect for her or their family. Following an argument, the husband allegedly returned home intoxicated and forced her and the children out of the house in a fit of anger.

This incident has sparked discussions across Douala about domestic responsibility, child protection, and the societal consequences of neglect and emotional abuse. Experts emphasize that children should never be caught in the crossfire of adult disputes and that communities have a role to play in safeguarding vulnerable families.

The woman and her children are currently seeking temporary shelter while the matter is investigated. Community members are rallying to provide support, highlighting the urgent need for awareness around toxic relationships and the protection of children from domestic crises.
