Laide Bakare has revealed plans to walk down the aisle once again, confirming that she is preparing for what she describes as her third marriage, though she insists it will be her first “official” wedding experience in her own view.
The Nollywood actress made the disclosure during a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, where she spoke openly about her personal life and past relationships.
According to her, preparations for the upcoming wedding are already in progress, although she chose not to reveal the identity of her partner or the exact date of the ceremony.
Bakare’s statement has drawn attention largely because of her relationship history. She was previously married to US-based businessman Olumide Okufulure, a union that produced a daughter, Simi. However, the marriage eventually ended in separation.
After that, she later tied the knot with Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo in 2012, a relationship that also produced children but did not last.
The marriage reportedly broke down after Orilowo was linked to legal issues involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2014, leading to further public scrutiny and separation.
Despite these past experiences, the actress appears optimistic about love and marriage. She explained in the interview that she still believes in companionship and is open to building another home, even if previous attempts did not work out as expected.
Her comments suggest a strong belief in second chances and personal growth through relationships.
Bakare also referenced her earlier interviews, where she expressed unconventional views about marriage, including her openness to multiple unions if necessary.
