A lawyer has announced the de@th of his client who took a polytechnic to court over alleged unjust dismissal.
The lawyer alleged that the client was “brutally murd£red by agents of darkness” before the final court proceeding.
He listed other mysterious things that have happened during the case and warned that everyone would account before the ultimate judge eventually.
Festus Ogun, a human rights lawyer, wrote: “My client whose matter was adjourned for defence was found dead in the pool of his own blood last week. This matter represents one of the courageous cases our Firm has ever handled and I’m pained by how this has eventually turned out.
“The case was instituted against the forces of oppression and injustice in a Nigerian Polytechnic. My client was unlawfully and unjustly sacked by the school management and we resorted to presenting a very solid case before the National Industrial Court. Under cross-examination few months ago, his testimony was unshaken. We had faith in our case and litigation strategy. Alas, he was brutally murdered by agents of darkness barely a week to the date the School was meant to open its defence.
“Yesterday, we were at the National Industrial Court, Isabo, Abeokuta to discontinue the case. Strangely, not only did our counsel’s car broke down on the way, she left the court with some sort of illness, so bad that she could not even return to work directly. She went home to fix her health.
“Goodnight, Mr Ogunbanjo. On judgment day, everyone would account for their actions before the ultimate judge.”
