I am from Imo State, but I live in Lagos, where I met my boyfriend. He is 28 years old, and I am 25. When we started dating, things weren’t going well for either of us. He worked as a waiter in a restaurant, despite having a first-class degree in Business Studies.
One day, the owner of the restaurant made advances at me, but I told him my boyfriend worked for him and that I couldn’t cheat. When I told my boyfriend, he surprisingly said, “That man has money. If he asks you out again, accept so we can make money off him.”
At first, I thought he was joking, but three days later, he came to me with an offer. His boss promised to promote him to manager and increase his salary to 400K monthly if I spent two nights with him. My boyfriend was earning only 80K, and he convinced me that this would change our lives.
So, I agreed.
After making this sacrifice, my boyfriend got the promotion. But just three months later, he traveled to his village and secretly married another woman. When I confronted him, he said he couldn’t marry someone who sold her body to get what she wanted.
I was devastated but moved on.
One day, I ran into his boss and told him everything. The man was shocked and immediately fired my ex, saying he couldn’t trust someone who would betray the person who sacrificed for him.
Now, my ex and his mother call me wicked.
