Senior pastor of Gracemade Christian Center, Seun Osigbesan, has paid an emotional tribute to his wife, Seun Osigbesan, recounting the sacrifices she made during the early years of their marriage as she marked her 40th birthday.
Speaking during a church gathering held in her honour, the cleric reflected on the challenging seasons they faced as a young family, revealing that his wife took on the bulk of the financial responsibilities for several years without ever complaining.
According to him, she remained steadfast and supportive even when their situation was difficult and uncertain.
“Even when I did not have anything, she was consistent and never complained. She carried a lot of burden, real bills, for at least seven years and never complained,” he said.
He explained that her unwavering faith in him played a crucial role in helping him push through those difficult times, noting that she constantly spoke words of encouragement into his life.
“She always tells me, ‘Baby, I believe in you, you can do it, you are a great man, you are a millionaire.’ Now she says, ‘You are a billionaire, we have crossed into billions in Jesus’ name.’ She kept speaking those words into my life, and that kept me going,” he added.
The pastor also shared some of the hardships they experienced, describing moments when the family struggled to meet basic needs. He revealed that there was a time when they could not afford essential items like diapers for their children.
“There was a time in our family when we could not afford diapers, and she used black nylon as diapers for the children. That went on for weeks. At a point, what the family ate was pap for breakfast, pap for lunch and pap for dinner. Yet, she never complained,” he said.
Despite the financial strain and emotional pressure, he noted that his wife never questioned his abilities or made him feel inadequate as a husband and provider.
“She never said, ‘What kind of man is this?’ She never made me feel like I was failing. She was just that kind of person, very tolerant and deeply supportive,” he said.
He went on to describe her as an exceptional woman whose patience, resilience, and unwavering support played a significant role in shaping their journey and eventual progress.
The actress, who gained widespread recognition for her role in the popular television series The Johnsons, produced by Rogers Ofime and aired on Africa Magic, stepped away from the show in 2022.
In 2023, she took a new path in ministry after being ordained as a pastor, marking a transition from entertainment into full-time spiritual service.
Her husband’s tribute not only highlighted her personal sacrifices but also underscored the strength of their partnership, built on faith, perseverance, and mutual support.
As she celebrates her milestone birthday, the story of her resilience continues to inspire many, reflecting the realities of perseverance through hardship and the power of unwavering belief in a shared future.
