Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has sparked widespread reactions after warning Christians about relying too heavily on artificial intelligence for guidance, saying it should never replace spiritual direction from the Holy Spirit.

In a recent video shared online, the actress expressed concern over what she described as a growing dependence on AI tools for answers, decisions, and problem-solving among believers.

While she acknowledged that artificial intelligence can be helpful in providing information and solutions, she stressed that it should not take the place of faith or spiritual conviction.

According to her, the Holy Spirit remains the ultimate guide for Christians, offering clarity, wisdom, and deeper understanding that technology cannot provide.

She added that although AI may appear advanced and highly efficient, it is still only a man-made system designed to imitate human intelligence and cannot meet spiritual needs.

Kadiri further explained that many people are becoming increasingly attached to digital solutions while gradually drifting away from spiritual practices and real-life fellowship. She suggested that this shift could affect emotional balance, decision-making, and personal growth in the long run.

Sharing a personal reflection, the actress recalled a moment when she felt overwhelmed and mentally drained.

She said that after turning to prayer instead of external tools, she experienced renewed clarity, focus, and direction the following day. This, she noted, strengthened her belief in the importance of maintaining a strong spiritual life.

Her comments have since generated mixed reactions on social media. While some users agreed with her perspective and praised her for speaking out on faith, others argued that AI is simply a tool that does not conflict with religious belief and can be used responsibly alongside spirituality.

Despite the debate, Ruth Kadiri maintained that her message is not against technology itself, but a reminder that faith should remain central in the lives of believers.
